Revealed at the Baltimore ’06 DC panel: Supergirl will appear in issues #2 and #3 of the new The Brave and Bold team-up series by Mark Waid. The series was slated for a Nov ’06 launch (SDCC ’06) but there’s nothing listed yet on the DC website.
Also mentioned at the panel was the news that Supergirl #12 will be written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray and both cover and interior art will be by Amanda Conner. I’m assuming they’re just filling in for this one issue.
Re: Supergirl #12…Woo-hooo!! I’m almost afraid to get my expectations too high…good writing team…one of my favourite artists(though the cover isn’t one of her better ones)… I might get spoiled…:p
I was going to try out B&B series…guess I’ll be getting the first three, at least…looking forward to seeing Perez’ take on Supergirl…doubt I’ll be disappointed…just worried that with all the characters in those two issues, there will be little focus on Supergirl…
The cover is weird; I’m not sure what happened to the face. I never would have guessed it was Connor if it didn’t say so! Don’t think I’ve read anything by the writing team though, so I have no expectations either way there. How many fill-in issues does this make now?
I didn’t even know Brave & Bold was still around and would never have picked it up, but they’ve got me for 3 issues at least =) I love getting into a series on ground-level, so I’m glad SG is at the beginning.
