The reprinting of the long-out-of-print Encyclopedia of Comic Book Heroes: Vol 1: Batman (May 23) and, more interesting to me, Vol 2: Wonder Woman (July 18). These look like they’ll be very fun.
Action Comics #850 (May 30) – I don’t know what the heck’s going to happen in this issue – and I don’t want to be spoiled! – but the fact that Supergirl continues to appear the following months in Supergirl & LoSH #31 and Supergirl & LoSH #32 makes me think we’re going to keep seeing Supergirl in the 31st century for some time to come, which makes me very happy!
Also, I’m really enjoying Darwyn Cooke’s The Spirit. I haven’t been this excited about a series since the current Legion of Super-Heroes (which I’m enjoying as much as ever, I just don’t blog about it because gah! intense! no words!)

GREAT BOOK! I’ve been enjoying that one .. although I’m missing issue 3 .. I have such sucky comic book stores!!!!
Isn’t it?! I never would have read it if not for a post linked from WFA about issue 4. And you know why I wouldn’t have? (Aside from the fact that it’s old and sounded boring.) Because I’d gotten it mixed up with Frank Miller’s upcoming film version, and what I’d heard about that put me right off. That’s the power of bad press.
