The owner of KaraLives.com has done the dirty work of sifting thru the DC message boards (which I avoid like the plague) to get some juicy insights from Mark Sable on what happened in Supergirl #16:
KaraLives: At the beginning of the issue, where exactly in space is Kara?
Mark: “I’m not sure of Kara’s exact position. Somewhere in between the Sun and Earth. Our Yellow Sun got turned into a Red Sun by Powerboy throwing the father box into it. As for how that happened…you’d have to ask Joe Kelly. Anyway, when the Sun turned red, she immediately flew away from it at top speed. She was weakened by the Red Sun to the point of death, but since she was still in motion got carried towards earth.”
Ah-ha! I did notice that the sun looked dangerously red, but forgot about it later while doing my write-up. Doh! I’m glad to see Power Boy gone, but I expect he’s not dead, just transported back to Apokolips or somewhere else. He’ll probably be back.
Was Power Boy that fish or what? I’m still trying to get a handle on that one.
Ah, no! *laughs* The “sushi” issue as it’s known…we shall speak no more of that.
Power Boy reveals his origin in Supergirl #15.
Unless you’re asking what the deal was with the fish…something about the myth of eating mermaid flesh granting immortality. I’ve tried really hard to erase that issue from my brain, frankly.
Supergirl#15 was completely incomprehensible. i tried to make sense of it,but….well….. XD
