Jumping for joy

I’d stopped reading She-Hulk for various reasons, mostly monetary, and hadn’t been paying attention to anything Marvel recently, so I just found this out:

Peter David’s taking over She-Hulk! Peter David’s taking over She-Hulk! *does the fangirl dance of joy*

I mean, yes, I loved Dan Slott’s She-Hulk (until the weird Starfox thing, which is one reason I didn’t pick up the fourth TPB), but if he has to leave (sad about that), I’m tickled pink that it’s PAD taking over! Woohoo! It’ll be FUN! *bounces*

EDIT: Okay, maybe I should have read an interview or two with Peter David before assuming what the book would be like. I’m sorry I missed the end of Slott’s run; I just kinda assumed he’d still be there when I was ready to come back. I’m still happy about PAD taking over, because I haven’t read anything by him a while now and I miss him.

Damn, I think this means I have to read World War Hulk now.

  1. never read She-Hulk, although the character seems cool. does one have to be really familiar with the “Marvel Universe” to get into this title? :I

  2. Nah. There’s history She-Hulk had with the Avengers (and Fantastic Four), but I jumped right in with the first volume by Dan Slott and didn’t worry about what had come before. The series starts out with a new location and supporting cast.

  3. I’m looking forward to it, too…if you’re missing Peter David’s writing, I recommend “X-Factor”…an X-title that doesn’t carry all the baggage of the rest, has interesting characters, a nice blend of humour and drama and at least three female characters that neither look nor act the same…what a concept! :-p
