Supergirl finally gets her own kid-friendly comicbook!* It’s only a 6-issue miniseries, but, but – it’s girl-friendly! It’s also the only Johnny DC series, purportedly for “kids”, that stars a girl. ‘Bout time.
This was all over the web back in April and May, but I wasn’t paying attention to comics news then.
*Supergirl is also now appearing in Tiny Titans, a really cute series I’ve heard good things about. The latest issue introduces Supergirl, but my comic book store does not carry it, so I will just have to download it ;-)
Unfortunately they are really keeping us in the dark as to when ‘Cosmic Adventures’ is coming out. Not until November at least.
In the meantime, Supergirl is mentioned in the next 2 months descriptions of Tiny Titans, so we got that going for us.
Yeah, I read the preview pages of Tiny Titans and they’re cute and funny, but not something I would pay for. If I had a young child, sure ;-)
