I hadn&#039;t given much thought to that particular pullquote in the Newsarama beyond &quot;gah, stupid idiots!&quot; But the same backwards argument keeps being made across every comment section on all the articles on this subject (and it&#039;s a super old argument), so there&#039;s obviously something deeper going on that&#039;s making so many people suffer from a case of the raging stupids. Because you have to be pretty deep in denial about the way gender inequality is signalled to look at those early Michael Turner pictures of Superman and Supergirl together and not go &lt;em&gt;WTF?!&lt;/em&gt;

I know what you mean, it&#039;s easy to become so jaded that you just don&#039;t &quot;see&quot; the difference anymore. They keep moving the goal posts, to the point where it&#039;s impossible to distinguish official art from porny online fan art sometimes. And then poor Jamal Igle gets accused of being &quot;conservative&quot;!!!</description>

		<description>Thanks for posting that.  I&#039;ve had trouble recently trying to articulate why the overtly sexy art etc is a problem.  I think I&#039;m so used to it now that I may be a bit jaded.</description>
