it’s dramatic and tragic and exciting and fast paced

It is gripping! I found myself rushing out to buy each issue as it came out, and then leaving it on the coffee table for a day because I'm in such dread of what will happen next! I agree that the tragedy works, and it's genuinely moving unlike most events. They got me really invested in Flamebird and Nightwing, and even though I knew their story would probably have to play out this way, I really wanted them to have their happily ever after! And poor Mon-El, his story never stops being tragic. There's been so much devastation, it really is overwhelming.

i've really liked War of the Supermen, it's dramatic and tragic and exciting and fast paced. I was really quite sad when Alura died. But, your point about how the writers/editors/publishers/whoever have wasted all this potential is a good one.

I am finding it a good story, it's hitting me in the right places, and i'm feeling the tragedy. But, just cos this story is in my opinion good, doesn't negate all the other potential good stories that they could tell, were they to keep New Krypton around. That we won't get to see those stories is a damn shame. Resetting the DCU to the status quo is a damn shame.
