Here is an item I missed in the latest DC solicitations. Now this is a series I truly never expected to be reprinted. Even more surprising is that DC would put this out first in hardcover. It’s set to ship June 28, 2011. The cover price is $40 USD (!!), but Amazon preorders are 37% off.
Power Girl made Infinity, Inc. her home after a six issue back-up stint in Wonder Woman following the cancellation of All-Star Comics. The series ran for 53 issues from March 1984 to June 1988. Originally the series took place on the parallel world of Earth-Two, but following the Crisis on Infinite Earths it was incorporated into the mainstream DC universe (losing Huntress and many of the characters’ parents in the process).

I understand that these issues comprise only the first half of the “Generations Saga”. Hopefully the trade paperback comes out fairly soon and they keep up a quick release schedule, because I don’t think this series will support a hardcover first edition release schedule with a long wait between softcovers. I will be happy when these are no longer required :)
Notice that “written by” credit? Dann Thomas, formerly Danette Couto, co-wrote all of Infinity Inc., including the annuals and special, with her husband Roy Thomas. In the first couple years of the series only Roy’s name appeared on the cover and inside his name was listed first as writer/editor, with Dann Thomas credited further down in smaller type as “co-plotter”. Somewhere between issues #20 and #30, she began being credited equally with her husband. It’s nice to see her contribution acknowledged for this collection.
