Is this the same earth 2 that was depicted in the Justice Society of America Annual 1 from 2008? On that earth 2 Superman was missing, Batman presumed dead, and most of the characters were more or less the pre coie jsa renamed justice society infinity. And there was already an existing Power Girl. It seems Mr. Didio and company are already causing more confusion with DC characters. Hopefully in ten to twenty years time with someone new at DC’s helm, this whole new 52 and all of Didio’s work will be “undone” and something more worthwhile of DC established. I find it interesting that this whole mess resulted from the Crisis on Infinite Earths series some 25 years ago which was intended to clean up and clear up DC history and heroes.

In March of ’12 DCnU moved about 1.8m comics. In June and July of ’11 they had moved 2.05m comics and 2.15m in August of the same year(but JL#1 was included). No matter how you look at it THE NEW 52 IS A TERRIBLE FLOP!!! Not only they did not gain any new readers, they actually lost thousands of those who were supporting them for years thanx to the stupid changes! Didio destroyed DC for a short-term spike in sales!

Amanda Conner’s design is still my favorite by far far, I wish they went back to it. New looks makes me so sad.

I gave up Marvel Universe since Disney bought it. I couldn’t stand the avengers being the X-men of all the non-mutants heroes. Loners like Spider-Man or DD in the team? And cold-blood killer wolverine? Please, it does’t make sense anymore. I just feel too much the marketing issues taking over the writing.
Anyway, I’ve always prefered DCU and his more iconic and bright characters. But Jim Lee has killed them all by trying to transplant his moronic Wildstorm Universe into it.
I tried for 6 months.
But the treatment applied to Zee, Power Girl, Huntress, and all the characters who had been successfully revised these last years has just finished to disgust me.
And the Superman armor, of course.
Rest in Peace, my 20 years of monthly faithful following.
Any reading suggestions?

I’ve been waiting for DC to bring back Mary Marvel in a good way for a long time. Such a lot of potential there.

What scares me is that even more female heroes are probably getting the axe. With the new “Edgier” Shazam (another rant altogether about the name) how is Billy Batson’s adorable sister going to fit in? Most likely… she doesn’t exist.
