This original animated movie is an adaptation of Supergirl’s post-Crisis origin story, “The Supergirl from Krypton”, originally published in Superman/Batman #8-13 (2004).
A significant improvement over the source material, the movie expands on the story of Kara’s arrival on Earth and her journey in becoming Supergirl.
The movie includes additional scenes focusing on Kara’s viewpoint and an extended ending in which Kara faces off against Darkseid in a satisfying action sequence.
Contains scenes that may be too scary for younger viewers (particularly the new scene where Kara is captured on Apokolips).
