Power Girl is the Earth 2 counterpart to Supergirl. She was first introduced in 1976 as a second generation member of the Justice Society of America, the Golden Age superhero team which originated during World War II. The JSA were reintroduced in the 1960s as living on a parallel world so their stories could continue being told independently of the “main” DC universe. Power Girl’s closest friend on Earth 2 was Huntress, daughter of Batman and Catwoman.
